Cyber Security Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead and enhance the cyber resilience of Malloy Aeronautics Ltd across multiple entities. The role will cover defence‑classified networks, legacy industrial systems, hybrid IT/OT environments and cloud services, ensuring security is built‑in from design through operation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute cyber security strategies, roadmaps and risk registers aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Embed secure‑by‑design principles into solution designs, architectures and configuration proposals, providing early assurance to engineering and digital teams.
• Implement and continuously improve cyber governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with NCSC guidance, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, Cyber Essentials Plus and related standards.
• Oversee operational security activities including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability identification, patch management, endpoint hardening and network defence (IDS/IPS tuning).
• Manage cyber controls for classified and high‑security environments, coordinating with procurement to flow security requirements to suppliers and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading cyber security programmes within complex, multi‑entity organisations.
• Strong understanding of both IT and OT security, cloud services and industrial control systems.
• Ability to translate security requirements into actionable plans and to influence senior stakeholders.
