Cyber Security Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Officer to join the IT & Digital team of a leading UK organisation. Based in London with a hybrid schedule (three days onsite), the role will own the security posture, protecting critical systems, infrastructure and data.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve the organisation's cyber security framework.
• Create and maintain security policies, standards and procedures.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to cyber security threats and incidents.
• Manage vulnerability management, patching and remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and data protection legislation.
• Manage identity and access management controls.
• Provide security guidance for cloud services and technology projects.
• Lead cyber‑related change management activities.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities and security technologies, recommending improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum five years' experience in a cyber security or information security role.
• Experience working with Microsoft security technologies.
• Strong understanding of cyber security principles, governance and best practice.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials.
