Data Analyst – Leak Detection & Logging

About the role

This position supports a leading utilities service provider by analysing data from underground logging equipment to identify potential water network leaks. The analyst works closely with field teams to ensure rapid detection and resolution of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse data received from logging equipment and field‑deployed devices.
• Issue Noise Logging packs for Technicians and Supervisors.
• Meet deadlines for suspected leak investigations and produce follow‑up packs with relevant information.
• Maintain and update trackers and the in‑house system.
• Liaise with fellow analysts to review targeting for Noise Logging.
• Collaborate with the Logging Supervisor to issue timely work completion reports.
• Support Logging Technicians, attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Work with Administrators to keep the area asset list current.
• Raise concerns or improvement suggestions with the Logging Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of best practices for data capture and management.
• Familiarity with data analysis and interpretation.
• Strong problem‑solving, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet targets.
