Data Architect – Enterprise Lakehouse & Data Platform

About the role

We are partnering with a private‑equity backed organisation embarking on a greenfield data transformation. The Data Architect will own the strategy and design of the enterprise data platform, working closely with senior stakeholders to build a modern Lakehouse and Data Warehouse using Microsoft and Databricks technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design enterprise‑scale data warehouse and Lakehouse architectures.
• Develop data platform strategies leveraging Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
• Build scalable data models, storage frameworks and modern integration pipelines.
• Establish governance, security, lineage and access‑control frameworks.
• Define CI/CD and deployment standards for data products.
• Drive adoption of best practices for performance, scalability and architecture.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing enterprise data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform and Databricks ecosystem.
• Hands‑on experience with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture.
• Expertise in data modelling techniques such as Star Schema and Data Vault.
• Understanding of data governance, security and access management.
