Data Asset Surveyor – Field Contractor

About the role

The Data Asset Surveyor will conduct on‑site pipe data surveys for Cadent Gas across the East Anglia region. Working four days a week in the field and one day from home, you will capture and upload detailed information on gas mains and related assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site visits within an hour radius of your base to inspect existing and new gas mains.
• Use specialised software to identify redundant pipes and record pipe attributes.
• Submit collected data to the office and produce electronic drawings of completed works.
• Follow HSE procedures, use appropriate PPE and equipment, and adhere to company policies.
• Organise your weekly diary to meet the 37‑hour schedule and manage overtime when required.

Required profile

• Own vehicle and full UK driver’s licence.
• Ability to work independently and travel to multiple sites.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £15.87 for the first 37 hours, with time‑and‑a‑half rates thereafter.
• Vehicle allowance of £400 per month plus mileage reimbursement.
• 15‑month rolling contract with overtime opportunities.
