Data Cabling Engineer – Short Term Contract

About the role

This short‑term contract seeks four experienced Data Cabling Engineers to join a commercial installation project in Reading. The role is perfect for professionals confident in installing, terminating and testing Cat 6A structured cabling and comfortable working at height with powered access equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install Cat 6A structured cabling throughout the site.
• Terminate data outlets, patch panels and cabinets to design specifications.
• Test and certify all installed cabling to industry standards.
• Interpret and work from detailed drawings and cable schedules.
• Maintain high workmanship standards while adhering to health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing, terminating and testing Cat 6A cabling.
• Valid IPAF certification and ECS/CSCS credentials.
• Previous experience on commercial cabling projects.
