Data Cabling Engineer – Structured Cabling (Cat6A) Contract

About the role

This short‑term contract is for four experienced Data Cabling Engineers to support a commercial installation project in Reading. The role focuses on installing, terminating and testing Cat6A structured cabling while working at height using powered access equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install Cat6A structured cabling throughout commercial premises.
• Terminate data outlets, patch panels and cabinets to required standards.
• Test and certify all installed cabling using appropriate equipment.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings and cable schedules.
• Maintain high workmanship quality and adhere to health and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience installing, terminating and testing Cat6A structured cabling.
• Valid IPAF certification for powered access equipment.
• Current ECS/CSCS card demonstrating competence on commercial sites.
