Data Centre Security Manager – AWS

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a seasoned security professional to lead physical security across multiple data‑centre sites in the Oxford cluster. You will ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and operational excellence while collaborating with engineers, supply‑chain specialists and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site direction and guidance to Security Officers and customers to enforce security policies.
• Partner with stakeholders to review documentation and translate physical‑security standards into real‑world practice.
• Develop, evaluate and implement new security technologies and measures to improve site posture.
• Lead projects that address security gaps, from technology shortfalls to operational deficiencies.
• Create and maintain policies, standards and process documentation across high‑security sites.
• Drive consistency, compliance and operational excellence through best‑practice standards and system evaluations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in physical security management within large‑scale facilities.
• Strong operational knowledge and ability to lead cross‑functional security projects.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify gaps and propose practical solutions.
• Ability to communicate security standards clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
