Data Centre Supervisor

About the role

The Data Centre Supervisor will lead the delivery of Moves, Adds & Changes (MAC) and Business‑as‑Usual (BAU) services within client data‑centre and campus environments. Working on‑site in a 24/7 high‑availability setting, the role partners with the Data Centre Manager, Service Delivery Manager and client stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute MAC and BAU activities across data‑centre sites.
• Monitor SLA performance, raise and manage risks and issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients and third‑party vendors to maintain service excellence.
• Supervise cabling installation, de‑commissioning and equipment handling.
• Allocate workload, manage shift coverage and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards and client processes.
• Support incident management, troubleshooting and first‑line technical support.
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting and asset tracking systems.
• Participate in operational, client and team meetings to drive service improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Data Centre MAC environment.
• Extensive background in structured cabling installation, testing and fault finding.
• Strong knowledge of copper and fibre cabling standards and data‑centre infrastructure.
• Experience with asset management, ticketing systems and service delivery processes.
• Ability to supervise shift activities and manage third‑party vendors.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and problem‑solving abilities.
