Data Engineer – 12‑month Fixed‑Term (Remote/UK)

About the role

This is a 12‑month fixed‑term opportunity for an early‑career Data Engineer to join a growing data platform team. Working primarily remotely, you will help modernise the company’s analytics infrastructure on Azure Databricks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Support CI/CD processes and apply DevOps best practices.
• Participate in code deployment, testing and release activities.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA specialists and machine‑learning teams across multiple squads.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and optimisation of the Databricks Lakehouse platform.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Python and core data‑engineering concepts.
• Exposure to PySpark and large‑scale data processing.
• Familiarity with Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
• Understanding of software‑engineering principles, version control and CI/CD.
• Strong communication skills, collaborative mindset and motivation to learn.
