Data Engineer – 6‑month contract

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a client on a 6‑month contract, working 1‑2 days per week onsite in Milton Keynes. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines and supporting data‑warehousing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support data pipelines in a demanding environment.
• Resolve incidents, handle requests and changes within agreed SLAs.
• Develop and maintain data models and data‑warehousing structures.
• Work with Spark, SQL and Delta Lake to process large data sets.
• Collaborate on cloud‑based solutions using AWS, GCP or Azure.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data engineering.
• Strong background in incident resolution and problem‑solving within SLAs.
• Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn and adopt best practices.

What we offer
