Data Engineer – Army Cyber & Information Services Operations Centre

About the role

The Army Cyber & Information Services Operations Centre (ACyISOC) is recruiting a Higher Executive Officer Data Engineer to help transform the Army’s defensive cyber capability. You will work within a mixed team of civil servants, military personnel and industry partners to protect the Army’s Cyber Domain through modern data engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data ingest pipelines for a variety of log formats.
• Parse, transform and load data into a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform.
• Optimise data flows to support real‑time protective monitoring of the Army’s cyber environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data quality, security classifications and compliance.
• Contribute to the evolution of the data engineering function within ACyISOC.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented individual with a strong interest in cyber defence.
• Ability to work efficiently across multiple systems and security classifications.
• Willingness to work on‑site at least three days a week while embracing flexible working practices.

Required skills

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
