Data Engineer – Build Solutions That Shape Decisions

About the role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join an expanding technology‑led company in Northumberland. You will design modern data platforms, build robust pipelines and turn complex data sets into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
• Model data using dimensional and 3NF techniques.
• Design and support data warehousing, lakehouse and lake architectures.
• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver reporting, analytics and BI solutions.
• Transform raw data into valuable insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• Experience building data pipelines on cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in data modelling (dimensional, 3NF).
• Hands‑on experience with data warehousing, lakehouse or lake architectures.
• Solid Python development skills.
• Experience using Azure and Power BI.
• Desirable: familiarity with modern orchestration tools, Fabric, Databricks, and other data processing technologies.
