Data Engineer – Cloud Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

This is an opportunity to join a growing data function building modern cloud data platforms from the ground up. You will work in a fully remote environment with ownership across the full lifecycle, from design to deployment, on greenfield data projects that directly impact the business.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and developing scalable data pipelines for ingestion and transformation
• Writing high‑quality SQL for complex data modelling and analytics use cases
• Implementing dimensional models using Kimball methodologies
• Working with cloud data warehouse technologies such as Snowflake or BigQuery
• Supporting analytics use cases and collaborating with stakeholders across the business
• Contributing to data platform improvements and best practices

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience writing complex SQL, including CTEs and window functions
• Experience working with modern cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or BigQuery
• Solid understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehousing concepts
• Exposure to data transformation tools such as DBT (beneficial)
• Basic knowledge of Python, ideally for orchestration tools like Airflow
• Confident communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote team
• Proactive approach with ownership and independent problem‑solving
