Data Engineer II

About the role

Join JPMorgan Chase's Corporate and Investment Bank Payments Technology team in London as a Data Engineer II. You will work in an agile environment to design, develop, and maintain secure, stable, and scalable data collection, storage, and analytics solutions that support critical banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines for batch and streaming use cases.
• Develop and update data models to accommodate new business requirements.
• Ensure data quality, reliability and timeliness throughout the pipeline lifecycle.
• Create secure data movement solutions between internal and external systems, handling both structured and unstructured sources.
• Analyse large datasets to extract actionable insights and present findings to business stakeholders.
• Provide clean, well‑structured data to support predictive models for cash forecasting and fund movement.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering and business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Document processes and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Experience in data engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to design and build scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for both batch and streaming workloads.
• Hands‑on experience with modern data technologies and cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver business value.
