Data Engineer

About the role

Obsidian Security is looking for a Data Engineer to own and evolve the data pipelines that power one of its core SaaS security products. You will work in a fast‑growing, cloud‑agnostic environment supporting enterprise customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and orchestrated jobs that transform raw signals into enriched, attributed data.
• Ensure customer analytics datasets remain accurate, fresh, and reliable across multiple data stores.
• Extend and improve the data attribution engine, including rule‑based and LLM‑assisted curation stages.
• Make occasional changes to the Go service that exposes data through APIs, collaborating closely with backend engineers.
• Partner with product managers and other engineering teams to deliver customer‑facing functionality.
• Champion data correctness, observability, and clean, testable transformations.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to raise engineering standards.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Strong SQL skills and hands‑on experience with modern data tooling.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.
• Familiarity with streaming systems and LLM‑assisted workflows.
