Data Engineer – Snowflake & DBT Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a high‑profile data transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation. The role will focus on building modern data solutions in Snowflake, supporting investment and portfolio analytics, regulatory reporting and business decision‑making. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to a cloud‑native platform that leverages AI‑assisted development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
• Build high‑quality dimensional and star‑schema data models.
• Engineer solutions for complex investment, portfolio and time‑series data.
• Integrate market data platforms and external data feeds.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support the evolution of the organisation’s cloud data platform and adopt modern engineering practices.
• Champion data quality, governance and performance optimisation.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in financial services such as wealth or asset management.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Experience delivering data products that meet regulatory and analytical needs.
