Data Engineering Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of large‑scale data programmes for a technology‑focused organisation. You will shape data strategy, guide cloud‑based solutions and mentor a high‑performing team of data engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design, development and implementation of data platforms supporting analytics, AI and business insights.
• Lead a team of data engineers, providing technical direction and career development.
• Design modern data architectures, cloud platforms and agnostic integration frameworks.
• Drive engineering standards, improve delivery processes and ensure data governance, security, scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven track‑record of leading data engineering teams or functions.
• Hands‑on experience with Python and SQL.
• Strong background in data modelling, design and platform development.
• Stakeholder management skills with ability to align technical solutions to business needs.
• Exposure to AI/ML programmes through data platform work.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures and warehousing concepts.
