Data Manager – School Data & Timetabling

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious, highly organised Data Manager to lead the data function and timetabling for a thriving secondary school in East London. The role is central to ensuring accurate data collection, reporting and analysis that supports decision‑making across the school.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee student and school performance data, maintaining integrity, accuracy and security of all data systems.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools that enable staff to monitor outcomes and comply with GDPR.
• Lead the creation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the whole‑school timetable, seeking efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with staff and external agencies, presenting data clearly for diverse audiences.
• Provide training, guidance and support to colleagues on data processes and systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with school data and management information systems.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced ICT skills, particularly Excel and database systems.
• Familiarity with school MIS platforms such as Arbor, SIMS or Bromcom.
