Data Operations Engineer – Data SRE

About the role

This position sits within a tech‑focused market‑making firm that leads in high‑frequency trading. As a Data Operations Engineer you will blend hands‑on engineering with high‑impact operational support, acting as the first‑line contact for traders, researchers and internal users.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve user issues and data‑quality incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors and manage alerting pipelines.
• Integrate new data sets and configure quality‑control checks.
• Maintain and optimise data pipelines and APIs to ensure robustness, scalability and production readiness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a high‑performance or time‑sensitive environment (e.g., Data Engineer, SRE, Software Engineer, Data Operations).
• Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as Pandas, Apache Arrow and Spark.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, normalization and API development for large‑scale analytical or trading systems.
