Data Product Owner

About the role

We are seeking a Data Product Owner to join a leading personal lines insurer in the UK. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the data delivery team, ensuring that data initiatives are aligned with commercial goals and deliver measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritise a value‑driven backlog of data and management information initiatives.
• Translate business needs into clear epics, user stories and defined outcomes.
• Lead a Scrum team of 5‑6 analysts, engineers and QA specialists to deliver data solutions.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to align priorities and maximise value.
• Manage dependencies, resolve conflicts and keep delivery on track.

Required profile

• Proven stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to influence and challenge.
• Commercial awareness of business functions such as sales and pricing.
• Experience working in data environments (analytics, MI or data platforms).
• Ability to convert business requirements into structured work for technical teams.
• Proactive, organised, quick learner with a strong delivery mindset.
