Data Product Owner (Lead) – Hybrid, Reigate

About the role

As a Data Product Owner at Ageas, you will bridge business needs and data delivery, ensuring that data initiatives drive real impact on customer outcomes, pricing optimisation and smarter decisions. The role is hybrid, based in Reigate, and is suitable for a curious, commercially‑aware professional who can quickly grasp the insurance business and translate that knowledge into actionable work for a data squad.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritise a value‑driven backlog of data and MI initiatives.
• Translate business needs into clear epics and user stories with defined outcomes.
• Lead a Scrum team of 5‑6 members, coordinating analysts, engineers and QA.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to align priorities and maximise value.
• Manage dependencies, resolve conflicts and keep delivery on track.

Required profile

• Proven stakeholder management ability – influence, align and challenge effectively.
• Commercial awareness of how businesses operate, especially in sales and pricing.
• Experience working in data environments such as analytics, MI or data platforms.
• Ability to turn business requirements into structured work for technical teams.
• Proactive, organised and quick to learn with a strong delivery mindset.
