Data Protection Consultant

About the role

Judicium Education is seeking a Data Protection Consultant to join its specialist team. You will work with schools and academies across the United Kingdom, helping them meet data protection obligations and build robust privacy frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct data compliance audits, analyse findings and produce detailed reports with recommendations.
• Review and improve client policies and procedures to ensure GDPR compliance.
• Respond to client queries via phone or email, providing clear, practical advice.
• Draft and review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
• Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor progress toward compliance.
• Deliver training sessions, both virtual and in‑person, to educate staff on their data protection responsibilities.
• Assist clients in handling data subject requests and data breaches in line with legal requirements.
• Contribute to team meetings, sharing insights and development ideas.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data protection compliance, preferably within the education or legal sector.
• Strong analytical, research and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working autonomously.
