Data Scientist – Customer & Commercial Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Merseyside team. You will work closely with the Lead Data Science and cross‑functional partners to design, build and deploy models that drive customer and commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy machine‑learning models across a range of customer use cases.
• Deliver projects on customer segmentation, lifetime value analysis and forecasting.
• Support targeted marketing initiatives, including campaign optimisation and personalisation.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to a scalable Data Science platform.
• Ensure models are production‑ready and generate measurable business impact.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience delivering end‑to‑end Data Science projects.
• Proficiency in Python with solid SQL skills.
• Experience applying machine‑learning and statistical techniques to real‑world business problems.
• Exposure to deploying models into production environments.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure (beneficial).
• Ability to communicate insights clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Practical, delivery‑focused mindset with a collaborative approach.
