Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join a globally recognised leader in technology, consulting and engineering services. The role works on high‑impact public and private sector projects, primarily within Defence and Security, and offers strong career progression in AI and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Apply advanced data science and machine‑learning techniques to solve complex challenges.
• Conduct research and develop cutting‑edge AI solutions.
• Manage the full data‑science lifecycle from data collection to model deployment.
• Produce clear, well‑documented technical outputs and deliver high‑quality project components.
• Provide data‑driven solutions to clients and support proposal development.
• Identify AI and data‑transformation opportunities within the Defence and Security sector.

Required profile

• Active Enhanced DV clearance.
• Proven experience applying data science or machine learning in Defence, Security, public sector or academia.
• Methodical problem‑solving approach and strong analytical thinking.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong client relationship management skills.

• Python (including data‑analysis, statistics, visualisation libraries)
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision techniques
• Workflow and pipelining tools such as Kubeflow, MLflow, Argo
