Data Scientist – London (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join a data‑driven organisation in London on a contract basis. The role involves building, validating and deploying machine learning models that address real business challenges while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning models to solve business problems.
• Translate complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Work with both structured and unstructured data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with data engineers to create scalable, efficient data pipelines.
• Document work and communicate findings effectively.
• Support ongoing optimisation and monitoring of production models.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data science or applied machine learning within a commercial environment.
• Proficiency in Python or R and familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks.
• Solid SQL skills and experience handling large‑scale datasets.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with model deployment and production environments.
• Problem‑solving mindset focused on delivering business value.
