Data Test Lead – Test Data Management (Leeds)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future Test Data strategy for a leading financial services organisation. As the Data Test Lead you will manage a team of Test Data Engineers and deliver high‑quality test data solutions across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Test Data strategy, roadmap and operating model.
• Lead delivery of masked, migrated and synthetic test data solutions.
• Manage and develop a team of four Test Data Engineers.
• Oversee Test Data tooling and services, including K2View.
• Drive automation and reusable test data capabilities for build and end‑to‑end testing.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Manage supplier and third‑party delivery relationships.
• Collaborate with Environment Management, Engineering, Product and Data teams to keep test environments data‑ready.
• Monitor service performance, capacity planning, risks and reporting.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience within Test Data Management.
• Strong knowledge of Test Data Management principles and best practice.
• Experience with data masking, synthetic data creation and test data provisioning.
• Excellent understanding of data privacy, governance and regulatory controls.
• Experience managing suppliers and third‑party delivery partners.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience delivering within large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Excellent analytical and data management skills.
