Datacenter Technician – Rack & Stack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Datacenter Technician to join our Hatfield Integration Centre. The role involves hands‑on installation, cabling and configuration of server and networking equipment in a high‑performance data‑centre environment.

Key responsibilities

• Rack and stack active network hardware, switches, routers and servers.
• Install power and data cables, following patching schedules and cut‑sheets.
• Read and follow rack elevation diagrams and apply basic IP addressing under direction.
• Install and configure UPS systems (where required).
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and cross‑functional teams to ensure timely deployments.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, industry standards and environmental guidelines.

Required profile

• Extensive experience working inside data centres.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform hands‑on technical work independently or as part of a team.
• Preferred safety certification such as OSHA 10/30 (not mandatory).

What we offer

• Hourly rate between £15.99 and £20.75 (IR35 compliant).
• Contract until 4 September 2026.
• Shift patterns: 08:00‑16:00 or 16:00‑00:00, Monday‑Friday.
