Day Shift Welder – MIG Fabrication

About the role

We are looking for a skilled welder to join our production team on the day shift in Winsford. You will work Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑4:30 pm, delivering high‑quality welded assemblies for commercial vehicle bodies and trailers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild‑steel components ranging from 3 mm to 20 mm.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and weld symbols accurately.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials using burning, disc‑cutting or machine‑cutting methods.
• Prepare assemblies with hand tools, ensuring precise fit‑up and finish.
• Maintain strict health‑and‑safety standards and keep the work area tidy.
• Meet production targets while upholding quality standards, working independently or as part of a team.

Required profile

• Hands‑on manufacturing experience, preferably in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer production.
• Proven ability to produce high‑quality MIG welds.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and weld symbols.
• Organised, proactive and able to follow clear instructions.
