About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Care Assistant to join our residential care home, Orford House, on a daytime, part‑time basis. You will work 12 hours each week, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, supporting older residents to live fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities

Provide personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting.
Offer companionship and emotional support.
Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs.
Assist residents with mobility and transfers safely.
Maintain accurate care records and update documentation.

Required profile

Minimum six months experience in a care‑home environment.
Empathetic, respectful, self‑motivated and flexible.
Team‑player who is willing to go the extra mile.
Passion for supporting older people.

Required skills

Hold the Care Certificate or a Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
