DB Pensions Administration Team Leader – Leeds (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced pensions professional to lead a specialist team delivering a wide range of DB pensions administration services in Leeds. The role combines people leadership, technical pensions expertise, operational oversight and continuous improvement, offering variety and high visibility across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of pensions administrators to meet service level targets.
• Plan and oversee annual scheme events such as valuations, benefit statements, pension increases and allowance statements.
• Monitor quality, output and performance, providing coaching and feedback.
• Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
• Produce reporting and management information to support decision‑making.
• Build strong relationships with employers, members and internal stakeholders.
• Support training and development within the team.
• Represent the team on wider projects and change initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience in pensions administration, including defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) schemes.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage workloads and meet deadlines.
• Experience of handling annual scheme events and maintaining data accuracy.
• Proactive, questioning mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
