Dealership Transaction Manager

About the role

Our client, a busy car dealership in Reading, is seeking an experienced Transaction Manager / Business Manager on a freelance/temporary basis. The role starts immediately and involves overseeing the end‑to‑end transaction process for vehicle sales, ensuring compliance and a smooth customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full sales transaction cycle from finance to delivery.
• Ensure all paperwork complies with FCA standards and consumer legislation.
• Coordinate with finance, sales, and after‑sales teams to meet deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting for management.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Transaction Manager or Business Manager in a dealership environment.
• Strong knowledge of current FCA regulations and trade practices.
• Excellent references and a clean UK driving licence.
• Franchised dealer experience is desirable.
• Own transport and ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends.
