Debt Resolution Officer – Field Based

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Debt Resolution Officer to join Richburns Ltd in Swindon. You will work face‑to‑face with utility customers, helping them resolve outstanding gas or electricity balances through constructive conversations and tailored repayment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customer premises across the South West to assess individual circumstances and discuss repayment options.
• Record visit outcomes and agreements using handheld devices and company technology.
• Provide clear information, signpost support services and carry out authorised actions in line with compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with the Field Area Manager and Quality Assurance Team to maintain high standards of customer care and brand representation.
• Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory and company compliance guidelines.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, field‑based environment.
• Clean full driving licence, own insured vehicle and willingness to travel daily.
• No criminal record; able to pass DBS and credit reference checks.
