Deburrer – Temporary Position in Precision Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Deburrer to join a well‑established precision engineering manufacturer in Ferndown. This ongoing temporary position offers the chance to work on high‑quality components for demanding industries, with the potential to become permanent based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deburr precision‑machined components using a range of hand and power tools.
• Remove sharp edges, burrs and surface imperfections to exact specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Carry out visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Handle various metal components safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with machining and quality teams to meet production deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous experience in deburring, fettling or a similar finishing role within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality output.
• Positive attitude, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work schedules.

What we offer

• £13.50 per hour plus overtime at 1.5×.
• 39‑hour week, Monday‑Thursday 7:30‑16:45, Friday 7:30‑12:30.
