Deep Learning Researcher / Engineer – Prop Trading

About the role

Join a rapidly scaling proprietary trading firm that is building a brand‑new central trading team from the ground up. You will help create a best‑in‑class deep‑learning platform that generates alpha, working in a greenfield environment with strong autonomy and strategic influence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the research stack from scratch, leveraging GPU‑heavy compute infrastructure.
• Develop and fine‑tune neural network, transformer and large‑language‑model solutions for market forecasting and alpha generation.
• Explore multi‑modal modelling, modern NLP techniques, and agentic/autonomous research systems.
• Collaborate within a pod‑like structure while influencing the direction of a centralized book.
• Translate cutting‑edge ML research into production‑ready trading models.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering alpha‑generating models at top‑tier firms or equivalent research environments.
• Strong background in applying NLP to financial markets and modern deep‑learning methods.
• Ability to think beyond traditional quantitative frameworks and work at the frontier of ML research.
