Delivery Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead our delivery team at a Tesco location in Reading. You will ensure the delivery operation runs efficiently, safely and within legal constraints while delivering the highest standards of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the delivery team to achieve operational efficiency and safety targets.
• Manage delivery costs and customer charges to meet agreed financial goals.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce payroll and operational expenses.
• Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse the local market to optimise service levels and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing warehouse or transport teams.
• Strong track record of motivating, developing and challenging staff.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work within legal and safety frameworks.
