About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Delivery Postie in Middlesbrough, working flexible shifts to bring mail and parcels to homes and businesses across the community. The role combines walking, driving and customer interaction, ensuring reliable service in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver letters, parcels and other items to assigned routes.
• Operate a company vehicle safely, holding a full UK manual driving licence.
• Follow local rota and shift patterns, working any five days between Monday and Sunday.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and handle customer enquiries professionally.
• Uphold Royal Mail standards for safety, punctuality and service quality.

Required profile

• Upbeat, independent and self‑motivated.
• Organised, punctual and committed to excellent customer service.
• Enjoy walking long periods and working outdoors in any weather.
• Strong sense of community and pride in the role.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
