Demand Planner

About the role

Greencore is seeking a Demand Planner to join its Leeds team. You will be responsible for generating accurate sales forecasts, collaborating with commercial partners and supporting the supply chain with data‑driven insights.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and analyse sales history data using planning systems and apply appropriate forecasting algorithms.
• Calculate statistical base forecasts, applying filtering, aggregation and disaggregation criteria.
• Share demand and sales forecasts with customers and commercial teams to ensure alignment.
• Manage risks in the plan, adjusting forecasts to improve accuracy and stability.
• Enrich and publish overlays for events, gap‑closing opportunities and performance drivers.
• Maintain ongoing communication and demand change controls with commercial teams.
• Drive continuous improvement by applying consistent planning practices such as ABC/XYZ analysis, forecast bias monitoring and seasonal profiling.

Required profile

• Education to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, seasonal FMCG environment with a solid understanding of the planning process.
• Hands‑on experience managing a wide range of SKUs, both short and long lead‑time items.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Proficient computer user with experience of ERP systems.
