Deployed Software Engineer (New Grad)

About the role

Arondite builds software that helps operators deploy and run a mix of platforms and capabilities, and is backed by investors including Index Ventures. This is a graduate-level entry point into the Deployed Engineering team, working closely with customers to deploy the technology in the field and turn their feedback into improvements to core product features. The role involves frequent travel to customer sites in the UK and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to meet users and understand their use cases
• Build secure, robust software following secure coding standards (e.g. OWASP) and internal security policies
• Deploy products into customer environments
• Interface with and test autonomous and robotic systems in the field
• Iterate with customers to refine implementations and maximise user value
• Collaborate with deployed engineers covering AI/ML, networking and robotics
• Drive a culture of excellence within the deployed team

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical/scientific subject
• Strong core programming skills in server-side languages (C++, Java, Rust or Python) or front-end development (TypeScript or JavaScript with Angular or React)
• Customer-facing communication skills and willingness to travel and work on-site with customers
• Right to work in the UK at the time of application
• Willingness to undergo UK security vetting to Security Check (SC) or above, which normally requires at least 5 years of continuous UK residency
• Enthusiasm for a diverse technology stack; experience with the listed technologies is a bonus
