Deployment Engineer – PC Refresh & Device Rollout

About the role

We are supporting a North West public sector organisation with a large‑scale PC refresh and device rollout programme. The Deployment Engineer will be hands‑on, deploying, configuring and replacing end‑user devices across multiple sites while ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. You’ll work closely with staff to ensure a smooth transition.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure new desktop and laptop devices across various sites.
• Carry out device replacements, set up user accounts and provide basic troubleshooting to ensure functionality.
• Deliver on‑site support to end users throughout the rollout, addressing issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate deployment logs and asset records for tracking and reporting.
• Travel between sites across the North West as required to complete deployments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supporting IT deployments, hardware rollouts or desktop refresh projects.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, enabling effective interaction with staff.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to think on your feet and resolve problems efficiently.
• Comfortable working independently across multiple locations and managing your own schedule.
