Deputy Accommodation Manager

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position leads supported accommodation services for young people aged 16‑25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in North Tyneside. The Deputy Accommodation Manager will create a safe, positive environment and drive high‑quality support.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of clients, staff, visitors and volunteers through regular risk assessments and compliance with policy.
• Liaise with internal departments (Finance, HR, Quality, Fundraising, Communications, Business Development) to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Manage local project budgets and oversee housing management processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with commissioners, stakeholders and delivery partners, including regular meetings.
• Deliver the highest standards of support to young people and undertake additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Proven management experience, including supervising teams and individuals.
• Experience supporting vulnerable young people with strong safeguarding knowledge.
• Confidence in risk management, housing support and partnership working.
• Proactive problem‑solver who leads by example and is committed to outstanding outcomes.
