Deputy Centre Manager (Maternity Cover)

About the role

The Deputy Centre Manager will provide maternity‑cover for the Head of Education and Training at King’s Academy. Working on‑site in London, you will help run a busy education and events hub, supporting both the operational side of the centre and its commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily centre operations, including facilities, learning spaces, staffing and equipment.
• Assist with planning and delivery of room hire, meetings, training sessions and larger events, ensuring a professional client experience.
• Support administration, delivery and monitoring of courses and commercial programmes.
• Contribute to income growth by handling enquiries, bookings, client relationships and course sales.
• Help promote the academy through marketing and communications activities.
• Provide team coordination, operational prioritisation and deputise for the Centre Manager when required.
• Identify and implement improvements to client experience, event delivery and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations, event management or a similar deputy managerial role.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Experience in outbound prospecting and commercial development.
• Ability to work within a fast‑paced, complex environment.

• Fixed‑term 9‑month contract with a salary of £44,310 per annum.
