Deputy Depot Night Manager

About the role

Join the UK’s leading newspaper and magazine wholesaler as a Deputy Depot Night Manager. You will oversee the night shift operations at the Swindon depot, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of publications to retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all night‑shift staff and provide coaching and training.
• Produce accurate operational reports highlighting challenges and successes.
• Work closely with the Depot Manager and senior team to identify risks and maintain health‑and‑safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies and the annual budget.
• Plan and execute the night distribution schedule, handling issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a fast‑paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on meeting targets and delivering excellent client service.
• Right to work in the UK.
