Deputy Express Site Manager

About the role

As a Deputy Express Site Manager at Asda Express you will work closely with the Store Manager to create a supportive, high‑performing environment for both colleagues and customers. You will be a visible, hands‑on leader who steps in to run the store independently when required and helps drive sales, standards and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing a motivated team.
• Help drive sales performance, maintain strong operational standards and deliver excellent customer service.
• Take full responsibility for running the store independently during the Store Manager’s absence.
• Ensure safety and compliance across the shop floor, PFS and forecourt operations.
• Deliver day‑to‑day people management fairly and professionally.
• Promote an inclusive culture where every colleague feels valued and proud.

Required profile

• Retail experience with a solid commercial understanding.
• A positive, supportive leader who sets the tone on the shop floor.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional approach to people processes.
• Strong commitment to safety, service and operational standards.
