Deputy Headteacher – SEND School (Warwickshire)

About the role

The school is an all‑through SEND specialist providing education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, Moderate Learning Difficulties and physical disabilities. As Deputy Headteacher you will join the senior leadership team to shape strategic direction and ensure day‑to‑day excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Headteacher in strategic leadership and operational management of the school.
• Drive high standards of teaching, learning and pupil progress across all phases.
• Lead key improvement initiatives and monitor outcomes.
• Develop and mentor teaching and support staff.
• Ensure high‑quality provision for pupils with ASC, MLD and physical disabilities.
• Promote an inclusive, nurturing school culture.
• Collaborate with families, external agencies and stakeholders.
• Oversee safeguarding, behaviour and wellbeing policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Proven experience as a Deputy Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher in a SEND setting.
• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice.
• Demonstrated ability to lead school improvement and staff development.
