Deputy Manager – Bar & Pub Operations

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Deputy Manager to join The Merchant, a contemporary bar in Glasgow City Centre. You will work closely with the General Manager to inspire the team and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clear guidance, encouragement and support to the team.
• Support the General Manager in delivering the venue’s vision.
• Maintain consistency in standards, procedures and service quality.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the bar across two floors.

Required profile

• Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Strong leadership and people‑development abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the General Manager.
• Commitment to inclusive and respectful service.
• Minimum age 18 (due to alcohol sales).
