Deputy Manager – Care Home

About the role

As Deputy Manager at Aire View Care Home, you will support the General Manager in delivering a compliant, person‑centred environment that ensures safety, comfort and stimulation for residents and their visitors. You will help meet professional, statutory and commercial performance standards while fostering a caring culture.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and day‑to‑day management to the care team.
• Ensure medication policies are followed and assist with medication reviews and administration.
• Monitor each resident’s wellbeing, identify changes, and update care plans accordingly.
• Complete monthly audits, quality indicator reports and any additional required documentation.
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and oversee clinical risk areas within the home.

Required profile

• Demonstrates Avery’s values: caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.
• Minimum two years’ experience in a similar care environment, preferably in a management role.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

• Proficiency with IT systems used in care settings.
