Deputy Manager – Care Home

About the role

Join Agincare as a Deputy Manager in Weston‑super‑Mare and help deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain safe, supportive environments while developing your team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support care assistants, ensuring daily care is safe, dignified and tailored to each resident.
• Conduct inductions, supervise staff, and provide ongoing coaching.
• Perform care audits, update care plans and trigger reviews as resident needs evolve.
• Liaise with families, social workers and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Monitor, report and investigate safeguarding risks, implementing mitigation measures.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, including care notes, medication charts and meeting minutes.
• Assist the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day operation of the home and act as their deputy when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience leading a team of care assistants.
• QCF Level 3 diploma or higher in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
• Availability to work 42 hours per week, including weekends.
