Deputy Manager

About the role

Blue Gem is looking for a Deputy Manager to be the number‑two in one of its flagship Central London workspaces. You will support the General Manager, uphold the building’s standards and gain the experience needed to eventually run the site as your own.

Key responsibilities

• Champion centre standards, ensuring impeccable presentation and exceptional service daily.
• Lead, mentor and manage on‑site staff through 1‑2‑1s and development plans.
• Deputise for the General Manager, confidently running the centre when required.
• Support commercial activities, including revenue tracking, budget monitoring and basic P&L review.
• Drive client renewals and service reviews, preparing paperwork and maintaining client satisfaction.

• Strong team leadership – motivate and develop the on‑site team.
• Clear communicator – professional and warm with clients, staff and managers.
• Client‑first mindset – deliver attentive, high‑quality service.
• Commercial awareness – support billing, budgeting and basic profit‑and‑loss responsibilities.
• Flexible and hands‑on – ready to step in wherever the centre needs assistance.

Required skills

• Revenue tracking and budget monitoring.
• Basic understanding of profit and loss statements.
