Deputy Manager

About the role

Jollyes Pets is seeking a Deputy Manager for its Maidstone store. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring high standards of customer service, store presentation and pet welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with day‑to‑day store operations and take full responsibility in their absence.
• Manage the team, drive financial performance and maintain store standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and provide knowledgeable advice on pets and products.
• Oversee stock management and ensure responsible pet ownership is promoted.

Required profile

• Previous experience in retail management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong customer‑service focus and ability to lead by example.
• Passion for pets and commitment to high standards of animal welfare.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
